GROUND RULES
By participating in the Corbawn Matters WhatsApp Group, members agree to the following Ground Rules and principles:
1. Post messages that are likely to inform and benefit members /promote the ideals of the group.
2. Courtesy and Politeness are central. No bullying or heated arguments; no trolling or hate speech, insults, or fear-mongering.
3. Agree not to libel or berate someone else or air personal grievances. If you have an issue, address it one on one with the relevant person, privately.
4. Check your sources before posting. Avoid posting fake news.
5. Respect Confidentiality: Members agree that what happens or is posted in the Group stays in the Group and agree not to impart any information gathered from posts to any outside person/s or body.
6. Keep posts to daytime hours 8:00 – 22:00 generally, unless it is a major emergency e.g.“fire, floods, burglaries” – relevant to the whole group.
7. Members by joining accept that their telephone numbers will be visible to all within the group next to messages they post.
8. Privacy: Members agree to respect the privacy of other members and will not identify individuals or individual houses with the exception of major planning notices. Being part of this group requires mutual trust and respect.
9. Members agree to indemnify Administrators and members of the group and agree not to resort to the law in resolving any disputes that might arise
10. Members understand and agree that posts that are deemed by Admins as not conforming to the letter or spirit of the rules can be muted or deleted without warning and while there will be an Appeals process, ultimately the decision of Admins will be final. Serious or repeat offenders can be removed from the group.
