ABOUT CORBAWNMATTERS 

This website and its companion ‘corbawnmatters’ WhatsAp, were set up by Mike FitzGerald, former chairman of Corbawn Residents Association, and Nicole Le Saout (Tidy Towns member and creator of Shankill Matters website). 

Administrators: Mike FitzGerald and Nicole Le Saout. Administrators are responsible for the day-to-day management of the website and WhatsAp group. Important Note: The Administrators are not responsible and accept no liability for any comments or views posted by individual members in either fora.

Privacy and Data: Administrators will not share the personal data of members with anybody and it will be held in a specific secure computer database. Also, the results of any future surveys or plebiscites undertaken will be anonymised and no member’s personal information or decisions will be shared.

Administrators may delete a post without warning if they believe it to be libelous or inappropriate in line with the rules and spirit of the group. Members may challenge such decisions by contacting an Administrator privately. Where possible, every attempt will be made to support the ideal of free speech and fair process.

In the event that there is a serious complaint or breach of the group’s rules, group administrators reserve the right to mute posts; temporarily suspend or remove transgressors from the group, albeit members may use the Dispute Resolution Procedures to help resolve misunderstandings.

This is an adult group and by participating in this group members agree to act responsibly /mindfully in the common good and opinions expressed are the opinions of individual members only.

The group shall be inclusive, non-party political, and non-sectarian and the communications of the group shall be carried out in the spirit of mutual respect and cooperation, conducive to friendly neighborliness and the development of the community.

Membership is by invitation and is open to persons over 18 years providing they live in Corbawn and confirm that they accept and are willing to support the Ground Rules of the group.

Persons who hold executive or controlling roles in other local organisations may engage with the website but may not join the Whatsapp Group to avoid overlap and potential conflicts of interest.
